Job Summary

The Director, Distribution & Logistics is the senior leader responsible for end-to-end vaccine distribution across the U.S., ensuring products move efficiently, compliantly, and cost effectively from source to customer. The role oversees all third-party logistics providers, distribution contracts, and a $15M-$25M logistics budget, with accountability for delivering best-in-class service performance, including on-time, in-full, and damage-free delivery. The position serves as the operational owner of Seqirus' U.S. distribution network, balancing logistics execution, regulatory compliance, quality standards, customer requirements, and financial stewardship. This is a hybrid role, which offers a combination of an onsite and remote work schedule.

Principal Accountabilities
Distribution & Supply Chain Operations
  • Own end-to-end U.S. vaccine distribution operations, ensuring reliable, compliant, and cost-effective product delivery to customers.
  • Lead transportation, warehousing, and third-party logistics partners to achieve service, quality, and performance objectives.
  • Manage supply flow from global and domestic sources to ensure on-time, in-full delivery while maintaining product integrity.
  • Develop scalable distribution strategies and capacity plans that support business growth and customer demand.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen supply chain performance.
Vendor & Contract Management
  • Lead relationships, contracts, and performance management for third-party logistics providers, carriers, and distribution partners to ensure service excellence and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee logistics procurement, vendor governance, and contract compliance to optimize costs and support business objectives.
  • Manage critical logistics systems and data interfaces to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant information exchange across the distribution network.
  • Conduct business reviews and drive continuous improvement with external partners to strengthen performance, accountability, and value delivery.
Quality, Compliance & Regulatory
  • Ensure compliance with all distribution quality, regulatory, licensing, and trade requirements to support the secure and compliant movement of Seqirus products.
  • Lead distribution quality oversight, including GDP compliance, audits, investigations, recalls, CAPAs, and issue resolution across the logistics network.
  • Manage regulatory and customer readiness requirements to maintain product integrity, customer compliance, and uninterrupted product supply.
  • Identify and mitigate distribution risks through effective governance, business continuity planning, and partnership with Quality, Regulatory, and Trade Compliance teams.
Financial & Performance Management
  • Own the U.S. distribution and logistics budget, ensuring effective financial management, cost control, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop budgets, forecasts, and business cases that support distribution strategies, operational investments, and customer requirements.
  • Monitor logistics and supply chain performance against service, cost, and efficiency targets, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement.
  • Provide financial and operational insights on distribution trends, costs, and risks to support business planning and decision making.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Innovation
  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships across Commercial, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, IT, Customer Service, and external logistics partners to ensure alignment and execution of business priorities.
  • Lead a high-performing distribution function that ensures operational continuity, effective collaboration, and exceptional customer service.
  • Drive governance, visibility, and accountability across the distribution network through clear performance measures, service standards, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Identify and implement innovative logistics solutions, technologies, and industry best practices that enhance service, efficiency, and supply chain capabilities.
Scope/Accountability
  • Accountable for the end-to-end U.S. distribution and logistics function, ensuring reliable, compliant, and cost-effective delivery of Seqirus products to customers.
  • Provides strategic leadership for distribution operations, logistics network design, capacity planning, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Directly manages relationships, performance, and governance of third-party logistics providers, carriers, and distribution partners.
  • Owns and administers a logistics budget of approximately $15-25M, ensuring effective financial stewardship, forecasting, and cost optimization.
  • Influences enterprise-wide decisions through cross-functional collaboration with Commercial, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, and Customer Service leaders.
  • Supports both short-term operational execution and long-term distribution strategy to enable business growth, customer satisfaction, and supply chain resilience.
Impact/Influence/Liaison

Exercises significant influence across Commercial, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Customer Service, and external logistics partners to ensure effective distribution performance and risk management. Leads vendor negotiations, drives alignment on operational priorities, and serves as the primary point of contact for key logistics providers, customers, and regulatory-related distribution matters. The role's decisions and recommendations directly impact product availability, customer satisfaction, compliance, operational efficiency, and financial performance.

Decision Making

Operates with a high degree of autonomy in a complex, highly regulated environment, making decisions that balance operational performance, regulatory compliance, customer commitments, and financial outcomes. Utilizes established policies and procedures as a foundation, while exercising independent judgment to resolve non-routine issues related to product distribution, logistics disruptions, supplier performance, capacity constraints, quality events, and cost management. Decisions regularly impact product availability, customer experience, compliance, business continuity, and a logistics budget of $15-25M, requiring consideration of operational, financial, risk, and people implications. Influences cross-functional decision making and provides recommendations to senior leadership on distribution strategy, investment priorities, and risk mitigation.
