Job summary

NYC Department of Social Services is seeking an experienced Administrative Director of Social Services NM-II to lead the Disability Services Program, overseeing 14 city-wide sites and two regions. The role focuses on designing and coordinating disability determinations and collaborating with SSA and other agencies to improve services for eligible clients.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree and at least four years in a supervisory or administrative role within a large government agency,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and four years of progressively responsible experience, including one year at the administrative or managerial level in a large governmental agency.
• Experience in social services preferred.
• Evidence of ability to work with underserved communities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Disability Services Program across two regions and 14 city-wide locations.
• Coordinate with SSA, OHA, HASA, FIA, MICSA and other agencies to inform policies and service delivery.
• Direct analytical staff for data collection and reporting to inform policy and enhance operations.
• Participate in labor/management meetings to ensure policy compliance.
