Job summary

INNIO Group in the United States seeks a Director of Procurement for Jenbacher North America to lead direct material sourcing across the region. You will shape procurement strategy, manage a multi-disciplinary team, and drive value through cost optimization and risk mitigation.

You will partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to ensure material readiness, supplier performance, and compliance while reporting to the VP of Procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Supply Chain or related field (MBA a plus).
• 10+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, or similar in a complex industrial setting.
• Proven leadership managing teams of 10+ employees.
• Experience in reciprocating engine, energy, power generation, or large equipment manufacturing preferred.
• Strong track record in procurement strategy, supplier negotiations, and cost optimization.
• Advanced experience in contract negotiation, market/supplier analysis, and ERP tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for Direct Material Procurement in North America.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Category Leaders, Supplier Quality Engineers, and Buyers.
• Define and execute procurement and category strategies to meet production and financial targets.
• Translate market developments into sourcing decisions to improve competitiveness and resilience.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and lead supplier negotiations for favorable terms.
• Ensure robust supplier evaluation and selection processes for operational excellence.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to meet regulatory and quality requirements.
• Act as regional deputy to the VP Procurement.
