Nouryon in Houston, TX, seeks a senior leader to oversee North America Indirect Procurement for Plants, MRO, Facilities and Services. You will lead a global team of about eight procurement professionals, develop category strategies across multiple sites, and partner with Operations, Engineering, Finance, R&D and regional plant leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master’s degree in a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive procurement leadership experience in manufacturing.
• 8+ years in global indirect procurement leadership.
• Proven success leading global teams and transformations.
• Experience in manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and strategic thinking.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead indirect procurement for 23 North American plants.
• Develop and execute category strategies; manage sourcing projects.
• Build and transform the indirect procurement organization.
• Design global buying channels (guided buying, catalogs, P2P workflows).
• Lead RFIs/RFPs, supplier selection, and complex negotiations.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Finance, R&D, and plant leadership.
• Drive cost optimization, budgeting, compliance and risk management.
• Build and lead a high‑performing team of category managers.
• Lead business reviews with stakeholders to shape strategy and savings opportunities.
• Maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers to ensure value.
