Job summary

K&L Gates seeks a Director of Digital & Technology Strategy & Execution to lead the operational engine of its Digital & Technology org. Reporting to the CDTO, this role oversees the PMO and BRM teams, translating strategy into coordinated delivery across the technology function.

It blends strategy with delivery accountability to ensure initiatives are planned, resourced, governed, and delivered with excellence aligned to firm objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, CS or related field.
• 10+ years in technology strategy, delivery, or operations leadership with PMO/portfolio responsibility.
• 5+ years leading and developing teams in a senior/leadership role.
• Experience translating executive strategy into outcomes in a matrix organization.
• Preference for professional services, legal, or client-driven environments.
• Certifications such as PMP/PgMP/PfMP and ITIL/BRMP are a plus.
• Executive presence and ability to engage senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the CDTO's execution partner, delivering strategic priorities through to completion.
• Translate strategy, OKRs, and roadmaps into tracked plans with owners and milestones.
• Provide leadership to the PMO, BRM teams, and delivery standards.
• Own end-to-end technology portfolio: intake, prioritization, resourcing and benefits.
• Establish portfolio reporting across scope, schedule, budget, and risk.
• Lead demand management and build trusted partnerships with business leaders.
• Define governance forums, decision rights, and cadence for planning.
• Coach and develop PMO/BRM staff and oversee resourcing and retention.
