About the Team: As the Director, Digital Marketing - Web & Search, you will report to the Vice President, Digital Marketing, and lead a team in support of our corporate website. You will be a digital marketing leader with deep expertise to develop and execute against Medidata’s long term digital strategy, while complying with all corporate policies. You will be responsible for creating a best-in-class website to engage visitors and ultimately deliver sales opportunities. You will oversee the planning, development, and execution of website-based digital marketing efforts including search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), and other emerging online channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Set strategic and operational plans for the digital marketing function, including objectives, success metrics, resources, budget, and prioritization of initiatives to maximize impact
  • Manage the hiring, developing and retaining of marketing talent
  • Drive growth in traffic, engagement, and community size across the corporate website
  • Manage our corporate website to drive a strong brand presence and qualified leads, coordinating closely with Product Marketing, Communications, Marketing Operations, and other internal stakeholders
  • Work closely with Business Development and other teams to ensure Medidata Web Chat use continues to grow and enhance
  • Stay abreast of digital marketing performance and be on a continuous cycle of optimization for Medidata.com based on data insights
  • Focus on building and maintaining a website to increase visitors, improve conversion, and deliver leads
  • Evolve the use of personalization on the website
  • Work closely with marketing operations team on full-funnel reporting and analytics of digital success metrics, communicate as appropriate with stakeholders
  • Create best practices and earn adoption in North America, EMEA, and APAC regions
  • Work with Dassault Systemes corporate and other internal governance teams to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations, while fostering a spirit of collaboration and sharing best practices

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to evolve a B2B SaaS website based on latest trends and technology with more than 125,000 visitors monthly
  • Experience managing transformational digital marketing projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience leading and managing teams directly and as part of a highly matrixed organization
  • Adept at working in a fast-paced environment and successfully juggle multiple assignments at once with tight deadlines
  • Exceptional prioritization, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Superior communication skills with demonstrated ability to navigate a complex organization and generate buy-in for ideas and plans
  • Strong analytical skills partnered with a creative mind
  • Self-starter and ability to build programs from scratch
  • Proven skills and metrics that demonstrate growth across multiple digital platforms
  • Proven track record managing SaaS vendors and digital marketing agencies, to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery, maximizing the value of all relationships and platforms

Education & Experience:

  • Requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience in digital marketing, including prior experience leading a team
  • Strong B2B marketing experience in supporting omni-channel marketing plans that drive website activity
  • Experience in tech, life sciences industry, and/or clinical development area preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
  • Experience administering digital marketing platforms with multiple integrations
  • Experience with Qualified pipeline generation platform preferred

The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $157,500 to $210,000.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
