Job summary

California Institute of the Arts in Santa Clarita seeks a Director for Instructional Technology and Innovation to lead strategy and tactics around teaching technologies, current and emerging. The role oversees the LMS, drives deployment with faculty and IT, and advances Institute-wide innovation initiatives.

The Director works with faculty across six schools, develops training materials, and helps realize research into how technologies transform teaching, art, and student success.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Educational Technology or related field.
• Several years’ experience in higher education or art non-profit environments.
• Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (Instructure Canvas preferred) and LMS integrations.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse faculty and staff.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Strategic planning and leadership around instructional technology and innovations.
• Oversee the Learning Management System, in collaboration with CAIT and faculty.
• Identify and pilot emerging technologies to support teaching and learning.
• Coordinate with faculty, program directors and deans on technology needs.
• Develop training materials and lead sessions for faculty and staff.
