Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and three (3) years of experience as a registered sonographer is required.
• Demonstrable community college or university teaching experience required, with proficiency in instructional methodologies and assessment.
• Master’s degree in related field is preferred; supervisory experience is a plus.
• Credentialed as a Registered Sonographer in general sonography (AB/OB-GYN/AE) is required; Texas license eligibility if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee structure, daily operation, and curriculum of the diagnostic medical sonography program.
• Lead staffing, budgeting, curriculum development, and faculty supervision.
• Ensure compliance with THECB, SACSCOC, and program accreditation standards; produce self-study documents as needed.
• Teach one class per academic year in accordance with syllabus and college policy.
• Participate in faculty searches and advise on hiring decisions.
• Coordinate clinical affiliations and experiential partnerships to augment the program.
• Manage program records, evaluation processes, and student learning outcomes.
