This is your chance to join our Development team, which plays a significant role in Hilton's growth strategy by adding new hotels to our expanding portfolio. As a Director of Development, you will partner with owners and investors to grow our managed and franchised hotel estate, leveraging our global expertise to develop one of the leading brands in the hospitality industry. Reporting to the VP Managing Director Development Southeast, you will focus on expanding our Spark and LivSmart footprint in the Southeast region of the United States.

How You Will Make an Impact

Your role is vital. Here are some of the key responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the development strategy for Spark and LivSmart in the Southeast, in collaboration with the VP Managing Director Development SE and team.
  • Build strong relationships with owners, industry partners (consultants, asset managers, hotel operators, real estate brokers, architects, designers, legal counsel, investors, bankers), and local authorities to generate leads and opportunities.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize development opportunities, ensuring alignment with brand standards and strategic goals while managing risks.
  • Negotiate and execute managed and franchised deals effectively, ensuring stakeholder alignment.
Collaboration

You will work with internal and external stakeholders to execute deals according to priorities, Hilton standards, and approvals, engaging departments like Legal, Feasibility, Brand, Owner Relations, and others to streamline processes.

Project Ownership

You will oversee development opportunities from inception to completion, ensuring smooth handover to Technical Services and Operations.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Minimum qualifications:

  • Seven (7) years of experience in Hospitality, Franchise, and/or Real Estate Sales.
  • Three (3) years of B2B Client Management/Sales experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70%.

Preferred qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree; MA/MS Degree preferred.
  • Experience negotiating high-value, complex hotel agreements.
  • Experience analyzing NPV, IRR, and capital sources.

Our comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, employee stock purchase plan, 401(k), paid time off, parental leave, holidays, and more. The annual salary range for this role is $120,000–$175,000, based on experience and location. Eligible for bonus and incentive plans.
