Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. seeks a Director of Development to lead fundraising for priority areas in support of HUMC's strategic plan. The role manages a donor portfolio with capacity to give six figures and drives major gifts and capital campaigns.

This position requires at least five years in development, a Bachelor's degree, healthcare sector experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience with Raiser's Edge CRM is preferred, as is not-for-profit fundraising background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum of five years professional experience in development.
• Experience with major gifts and capital campaigns, including closes of $100,000 or more.
• Experience in a healthcare environment or related field.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Reporting to the Vice President, Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation, the Director of Development is responsible for managing the fundraising for critical areas of need as determined by the strategic plan of HUMC. The Director manages a portfolio of donors and prospects with a capacity to give $100,000 or more.

This position will offer a hybrid schedule.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum of five years professional experience in the development field.
• Experience with major gifts and capital campaigns, including an established track record in closing gifts of $100,000 or more independently.
• Experience in a healthcare environment, or a closely related field involving personal calls and relationship building.
• Highly functional with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Experience working for a not-for-profit organization.
• Experience working with Raiser's Edge and/or other fundraising/CRM management software.
