Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Director of Development to lead a major gifts program for the Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation. You will manage a $100k+ donor portfolio, develop cultivation strategies, and collaborate with hospital leaders to advance philanthropy across the network.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least five years of fundraising experience, including major gifts, with proficiency in Raiser's Edge or similar CRM systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of five years professional experience in development.
• Experience with major gifts and capital campaigns, including gifts of $100,000+.
• Experience in healthcare environment or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Develops and monitors a comprehensive development program for the assigned areas.
• Leads coordination with planned giving, annual fund, grants, and events departments.
• Engages board members to host awareness and networking forums.
• Manages a portfolio of $100k+ donors and prospects with cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies.
• Communicates goals and strategies with hospital leadership and affiliates.
• Collaborates with hospital leadership to meet philanthropy objectives and build relationships with staff.
• Adheres to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
