Job summary

The Nuclear Company is a rapidly growing startup in the nuclear and energy space, leading a design‑once, build‑many approach to scale nuclear projects in America and globally.

This Director, Deployment role owns financial planning and analysis for an active construction portfolio across up to 19 projects, coordinating with EPC firms and JV teams to keep deployment spend disciplined as the company scales toward IPO.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in FP&A, project finance, or capital/construction finance.
• Direct experience managing EPC contracts from the owner/developer side, or overseeing large-scale infrastructure spend.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; able to build variance models from scratch.
• Track record managing multi-project portfolios under tight reporting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Deployment cost tracking: monthly actuals vs budget for every active project.
• EPC contractor oversight: monitor draw schedules, change orders, milestone billing.
• Variance analysis: explain cost or schedule variances to leadership/board.
• Capital deployment reporting: maintain dashboard of capital called, deployed, remaining by project.
• Cross-functional partnership: coordinate with Project Directors, JV finance, Procurement, and Accounting.
