Job summary

True Religion is seeking a Director of Denim Product Development to lead the end-to-end denim program from concept to production handoff. You will ensure quality, fit, construction, and aesthetics while balancing cost, manufacturability, and speed to market.

You will own costing and margin targets, expand and manage vendor partnerships, and drive calendar discipline and cross-functional alignment. This hands-on leader will mentor the denim team, partner with Design, Merchandising, and Sourcing,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of denim product development experience.
• 2-4+ years in a leadership role.
• Expert knowledge of denim fabrics, washes, finishes, trims, and construction.
• Proven track record meeting costing parameters and IMU targets.
• Experience leading seasonal development calendars and delivering milestones on time.
• Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Ability to partner cross-functionally and drive timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end denim product development from concept through production handoff.
• Own the denim costing process within established parameters and IMU targets.
• Drive denim innovation while ensuring feasibility within costing requirements.
• Expand and manage the denim vendor base; lead cost, quality, and delivery negotiations.
• Own development calendars, milestones, sample approvals, costing deadlines, and handoffs.
• Partner with Design, Merchandising, Technical Design, Production, and Sourcing to align on priorities and timelines.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the denim product development team to build a collaborative, performance-driven culture.
