Job summary

Instructure is seeking a Director of Decision Science in the United States to build and lead a high-performing team that turns data into strategic, actionable decisions across product, pricing, go-to-market, and operations.

You will own the function, hire and coach a team of scientists and analysts, and partner with executives to turn fuzzy questions into clear analytical problems. Strong leadership and advanced modeling skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data science, analytics, or decision science; at least 3 years in people management.
• Proven track record of impacting decisions with analytical work.
• Deep expertise in experimental design, causal inference, statistical modeling, and ML.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the decision science team; hire, coach, and grow staff.
• Set the function's strategy and roadmap; decide problems to tackle and measure success.
• Partner with product, engineering, marketing, finance, and leadership to translate business questions into analytics.
