Instructure, Inc. is seeking a Senior Decision Scientist to drive business impact through data-driven insights across product adoption, engagement, and revenue growth.

You will lead end-to-end analytics initiatives, partner with product managers, engineers, and executives, and translate complex questions into actionable recommendations. You will design rigorous experiments, leverage AI tooling, mentor peers, and elevate analytic standards, enabling fast, data-informed decisions across our EdTech

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field.
• 5–7 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related discipline with a track record of delivering high-impact, cross-functional insights.
• Expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, causal inference, and experimental design (A/B testing).
• Deep familiarity with AI tooling to improve throughput and analytical quality.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis, modeling, and visualization.

• Lead experimentation and causal analysis, design and execute A/B tests and causal inference studies.
• Influence product and business strategy by translating questions into analytical frameworks and delivering recommendations.
• Own end-to-end analytical solutions from opportunity identification to deployment and measurement.
• Mentor and elevate peers in methodology, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
• Communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, including executives.
