Job summary

Metra, America's fourth busiest commuter rail system, seeks a Sr. Manager, Data Strategy and Learning Architecture to lead a team of instructional designers and drive data-informed learning strategies.

You will partner with stakeholders, manage client relationships, and ensure KPI dashboards keep projects on track. This demanding role requires railroad experience, strong leadership, and a data-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, statistics, quantitative analysis, instructional design or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Eight years of railroad experience is required.
• Five years of experience managing training programs, preferably in a railroad environment.
• Knowledge of project management principles and stakeholder management.
• Experience with FRA regulations and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and coach a team of instructional designers with a culture of continuous learning and high performance.
• Analyze organizational performance data to inform learning strategies and drive business goals.
• Oversee projects with timely delivery, resources alignment, and FRA compliance.
• Provide KPI dashboards and executive updates to leadership.
• Foster safe work practices and maintain a collaborative environment.
