Metra Commuter Rail is seeking a Senior Architect to lead the design, construction, and renovation of station and parking facilities within the Capital Delivery Department. You will manage complex projects, review plans for compliance, and ensure delivery on time and on budget while upholding Metra's guidelines.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Architecture or Civil Engineering, at least five years of design and project management experience, and strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering.
• Five years of Architectural or Civil design experience that includes project management.
• Knowledge of planning, architectural/engineering design, procurement, and construction best practices.
• Knowledge of project management, controls, and contract administration principles and best practices.
• Knowledge of building codes, zoning and accessibility requirements.
• Ability to travel within and outside Metra's 6-county region.

Responsabilités

• Lead project teams in the review of architectural plans for compliance with guidelines and codes.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and keep projects on time and within budget.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, cost estimates, and schedules with consultants.
• Oversee the contract administration process including bids, contracts, and payments.
• Promote safe practices and maintain stakeholder relationships for coordination.
