The Role

The Data Solution Architect will be responsible for designing data solutions across all Deckers functional areas, interfacing with business teams and leaders. The ideal candidate will design comprehensive data solutions that support business needs, optimize data management, and drive data-driven decision-making. This role requires a deep understanding of data architecture, AWS cloud technologies, and data engineering practices. The Data Solution Architect will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, business analysts, and IT leaders, to create scalable and efficient data systems.

Your Impact

The primary functions of this role include but are not limited to:

• Design data solutions supporting strategic business goals.
• Architect scalable, high-performance data pipelines for ingestion, storage, processing, and analysis.
• Ensure data security, privacy, and governance (GDPR, PII).
• Create comprehensive data models and workflows for efficient data integration and transformation.

Collaboration And Leadership

• Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and design solutions.
• Provide leadership and guidance to data engineering and application teams.
• Define best practices, standards, and procedures for data management.
• Coordinate with Program Delivery and Engagement teams to meet expectations.

Technology Expertise

• Design solutions leveraging AWS Cloud and modern data architecture (Data Mesh, Data Products, Pub-Sub models).
• Evaluate and recommend new data tools and platforms.
• Troubleshoot data system issues to enhance efficiency and uptime.
• Create architectural documentation and data flow diagrams.

Who You Are

• Demonstrated leadership, business acumen, and industry knowledge.
• Expertise in data integration, mesh, warehousing, and analytics.
• Experience building and leading cross-site teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• 10-15 years of experience in data solution architecture or equivalent.
• Experience in retail, including customer, marketing, warehouse management, 3PL, and product management.
• Proficiency in AWS Cloud security, scalability, and performance.

Salary range: $200,000 - $210,000, based on location and experience. Details discussed during hiring process.
