Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance seeks three senior data scientists to join USDS Rollout AI, delivering state-of-the-art evaluations for AI-driven pricing programs. You will partner with pricing, delivery, and technology teams to assess value, risk, and production readiness of AI and agentic systems, shaping how AI is used in core pricing for US Retail Markets.

The role emphasizes hands-on modeling, modern ML/LLMs work, and strong communication with business and tech stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and deploying insurance pricing models.
• Expertise in model evaluation, statistics, and experimental design.
• Strong coding skills (Python) and a track record of shipping data science solutions.
• Experience with modern LLMs, agentic applications, and RAG considerations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder skills across business, delivery, and technology teams.
• Advanced degrees with demonstrated experience in relevant work contexts or equivalent.
• PhD/Master/Bachelor with the stated years of experience as described in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Partner with pricing, delivery, and technology teams to accelerate pricing program rollouts.
• Build evaluations for AI and agentic applications; define metrics and ground truth, design experiments including production tests.
• Measure value and risk of AI applications, including time-to-market improvements and error reduction.
• Translate business needs into evaluation criteria and technical requirements for AI projects.
• Prototype evaluation tooling and progressively build AI applications to speed up rollout.
