Lennar Corporation seeks a Director, Assistant General Counsel – Data Privacy to lead the company’s privacy program, shape transactions, and balance risk with business growth. The role partners with senior leaders across technology and commercial teams in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has deep privacy expertise, strong negotiation skills, and a track record of building programs, policies, and vendor governance. A focus on AI governance and cross-border compliance is valued.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school; licensed to practice in the U.S.
• 8-12 years of legal experience focusing on data privacy and complex transactions.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. federal/state privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA, etc.) and familiarity with GDPR.
• Privacy certification (CIPP/US, CIPM, or equivalent) preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead Lennar's data privacy function with risk-balanced delivery of legal services.
• Provide practical privacy and commercial legal advice on data collection, sharing, retention, and cross-border transfers.
• Negotiate and draft data processing agreements, vendor/technology agreements, and data-sharing arrangements.
• Contribute to AI governance efforts and regulatory initiatives across the organization.
• Manage outside counsel, budget tracking, and cost-conscious decisions.
• Develop privacy standards, notices, templates, and incident-response procedures.
• Mentor attorneys and scale the privacy team as needed.
• Partner with senior leadership to address risks and provide timely legal solutions.
