Job summary

Lennar seeks a senior legal leader to manage the data privacy function, advise on complex commercial and technology transactions, and shape the privacy program across the business in Miami. The role partners with executives to balance risk and growth while overseeing outside counsel and budgets.

The ideal candidate brings 8–12 years of data privacy experience, JD from an accredited school, US bar, and strong leadership to scale the privacy program within a Fortune 500–level homebuilder

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admitted to practice in the U.S.
• 8–12 years of legal experience focusing on data privacy and technology transactions.
• In-house experience or equivalent senior law firm background preferred.
• Experience negotiating data processing, vendor and technology agreements.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA) and related regimes.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage outside counsel.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lennar's data privacy function and privacy program.
• Provide business-forward privacy and commercial legal advice on data collection, use, sharing, retention, and cross-border transfers.
• Negotiate data processing, vendor, and technology agreements while balancing risk and commercial needs.
• Contribute to AI governance and compliance initiatives across the organization.
• Manage matter-level budgets and outside counsel spend within approved frameworks.
• Develop and implement privacy standards, templates, and procedures (DPA templates, incident response, DPIAs).
• Mentor and scale the privacy legal team and support cross-functional collaboration.
