Job summary

Subway is expanding its data engineering leadership to build and operate enterprise data platforms for analytics and data products. You will drive architecture across Databricks, Snowflake, and related tools, while guiding DataOps, governance, and scalability initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

You will manage teams, craft migration roadmaps from Redshift to modern platforms, and partner with Analytics, Platform, and Security to deliver trusted, accessible data across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8-12 years of experience in data engineering or adjacent platform roles.
• Proven leadership of data engineering teams and enterprise-scale data capabilities.
• Experience delivering production-grade data platforms on Databricks, Snowflake, and/or Redshift.

Responsibilities

• Lead data platform engineering & architecture across cloud platforms (Databricks, AWS, Snowflake).
• Drive DataOps, CI/CD, testing, observability, and incident management for pipelines.
• Define data quality standards, governance, and metadata management with Unity Catalog/ Purview.
• Partner with product, analytics, platform, and security leaders to enable trusted data products.
