Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Director, Solutions Data Centers to lead the design of integrated facilities management solutions for hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data centers. You will translate complex requirements into operating models, staffing plans, and commercial constructs with a strong emphasis on engineering solutioning and staffing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Facilities/Construction Management, or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years in facilities management, critical facilities operations, or engineering services, including 5+ years with data center accountability.
• 5+ years in FM solutions development, bid management, or senior operations with staffing/cost ownership.
• Experience building staffing models and defending them to clients.
• Strong command of electrical/mechanical systems, NLP, and FM commercial models.
• Advanced Excel modeling capability and ability to present to executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture for data center IFM pursuits across portfolios.
• Translate client requirements into defensible operating models.
• Build labor models, org charts, scope matrices for pricing.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, HR, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and Legal to assemble integrated solutions.
• Author and orchestrate technical responses: staffing, transition plans, tech stack, governance.
• Lead workshops, site walks, and client presentations to defend approach.
• Conduct win/loss reviews and update standard assets and pricing templates.
• Maintain a library of data center solution components and staffing ratios.
• Design the engineering operating model: on-site teams, 24x7 coverage, escalation structures.
• Define maintenance programs for critical systems (MV/LV, UPS, cooling, BMS).
• Set engineering tech approach: CMMS, asset tagging, remote monitoring, analytics.
• Quantify headcount, overtime, tools, training, spares, and subcontracted services.
• Build site-based staffing models with rotations, vacation, and overtime.
• Define licensure matrices by jurisdiction and TA ramp plan.
