Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield seeks a Director of Solutions Data Centers to lead the design and articulation of IFM solutions for hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and AI/HPC data centers. You will build staffing models, wage and total-rewards strategies, and defend assumptions in executive sessions.

The role emphasizes engineering solutioning, operating-model development, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver integrated data center solutions for complex client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Facilities/Construction Management or related field.
• 10+ years in facilities management, critical facilities operations, or engineering services with 5+ years in data center contexts.
• 5+ years in FM solutions development, bid management, or senior operations with staffing/cost ownership.
• Experience building staffing models for critical facilities engineering.
• Working knowledge of data center infrastructure (Electrical, UPS, gensets, cooling, BMS/EPMS, fire life safety).
• Fluency in FM commercial models, SLA/KPI regimes, and pricing mechanics; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture for data center IFM pursuits across single-site, regional, and global portfolios.
• Interrogate client requirements and translate into defensible operating models.
• Build labor models, org charts, span of control, and scope matrices for pricing and governance.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, HR, Talent Acquisition, Procurement, Finance, EHS, Sustainability, Legal, and Tech.
• Author and orchestrate the technical response: narrative, staffing, mobilization, and tech stack.
• Lead workshops, site walks, due-diligence visits, and client orals; defend engineering approaches.
• Maintain library of solution assets, benchmarks, and pricing templates.
• Design the engineering operating model: on-site teams, 24x7 coverage, escalation structures, remote ops.
• Quantify the engineering solution: headcount, overtime, tools, training, spares, and subcontractors.
• Define licensure matrices and talent ramp plans; pair with TA for recruiting.
