Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline (e.g., Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Facilities/Construction Management)
• 10+ years in facilities management or engineering services with data center accountability
• 5+ years in FM solutions development, bid management, or senior operations with staffing and cost build-ups
• Experience building and defending critical-facilities engineering staffing models
• Fluent in FM commercial models, SLA/KPI regimes, and advanced Excel modeling

Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture for data center IFM pursuits across single-site, regional, and global portfolios
• Translate client requirements into defensible operating models and staffing plans
• Develop labor models, org charts, span of control, and scope matrices for pricing and governance
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, HR, Talent Acquisition, Procurement, Finance, EHS, Sustainability, Legal, and Technology
• Author and orchestrate technical responses including staffing, mobilization, governance, and risk schedules
• Lead workshops, site visits, due-diligence, and client presentations to defend the engineering approach
• Maintain reusable data center solution libraries and benchmark staffing ratios
• Design operating models for on-site engineering teams with 24x7x365 coverage and remote ops
• Define the maintenance program for critical systems (electrical, mechanical, BMS/EPMS, fire life safety)
• Quantify engineering solutions: headcount, tools, PPE, spares, training, and subcontracted services
• Build staffing models by site/portfolio with rotations, vacations, and overtime assumptions
• Define licensure matrices by jurisdiction and coordinate with Talent Acquisition on ramping
• Benchmark engineering ratios against internal/industry data and justify deviations
