Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield seeks a Director, Solutions Data Centers to lead the design and articulation of integrated facilities management solutions for hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and AI/HPC data center portfolios.

The role emphasizes engineering solutioning, staffing plans, wage strategy, and a defensible operating model with client-facing responsibilities. Travel domestically is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical discipline.
• 10+ years in facilities management or engineering services.
• 5+ years in FM solutions development or senior operations with staffing ownership.
• Experience building staffing models and defending them to clients.
• Working knowledge of data center infrastructure including electrical distribution, UPS, generators, cooling, BMS/EPMS.
• Fluency in FM commercial models, SLA/KPI regimes, and pricing mechanics; advanced Excel modeling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present to C-suite and engineering audiences.
• Willingness to travel domestically (25-30%).

Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture for data center IFM pursuits across portfolios.
• Interpret client requirements and translate into defensible operating models.
• Build labor models, org charts, span of control, and price underpinning matrices.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, HR, TAC, Procurement, Finance, EHS, Sustainability, Legal, and Tech.
• Author and orchestrate technical responses: narrative, staffing, mobilization, governance, risk register.
• Lead workshops, site walks, due-diligence, and client presentations.
• Maintain a library of solution components and benchmark staffing ratios.
• Design the critical-facilities operating model with 24x7 coverage and remote ops integration.
• Quantify the engineering solution including headcount, overtime, tools, PPE, and spares.
• Develop staffing models by site/portfolio with appropriate rotations and allowances.
• Define licensure matrices by jurisdiction; coordinate recruiting ramp plans.
