Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking an experienced Director of Environmental, Health and Safety to lead all EHS programs across our data center portfolio. You will develop and implement policies, ensure regulatory compliance, and supervise audits, incident investigations and stakeholder collaboration at multiple sites.

The role requires 8+ years in EHS within mission-critical environments, cross-functional leadership, and up-to-date certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EHS or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Eight+ years' progressive experience in mission-critical environments with EHS programs.
• BCSP or equivalent certifications, or ability to obtain within two years.
• Experience designing and implementing risk management systems for EHS operations.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS policies, guidelines, and programs for QTS data centers.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across all EHS programs.
• Conduct audits and recommend improvements to maintain compliance.
• Maintain environmental permits and programs.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Provide training and certify workforce on EHS requirements.
• Identify and manage EHS and sustainability risks affecting the business.
• Lead site EHS champions and coordinate across data center teams.
• Establish EHS dashboards and KPI tracking within the Sustainability Leadership Team.
