Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead all EHS programs across our data center environments. You will ensure compliance with federal and state regulations while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

The role requires developing policies, conducting audits, managing training, and coordinating with cross-functional teams and executives to mitigate risks and improve safety performance across multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an EHS-related field or equivalent experience.
• Eight+ years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in a mission-critical environment.
• Certifications from Board of Certified Safety Professionals or equivalent, or ability to obtain within two years.
• Solid experience designing and implementing systems to manage EHS operational risks.
• Ability to travel 25-50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to protect employees.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across all EHS programs.
• Audit and review EHS programs and drive improvements.
• Maintain environmental permits and regulatory filings.
• Investigate incidents and recommend preventive measures.
• Lead site EHS champions and coordinate training activities.
• Set and monitor corporate-wide EHS goals and dashboards.
• Prepare regulatory documents and reports.
