Capstone Recruitment Inc. is seeking a Director of Cost Management for Data Centres to lead a major client account across multiple live projects in the US. Based in Houston or San Francisco, you will shape cost strategy, mentor teams, and drive delivery excellence.

This senior role combines strategic cost advice, client relationship leadership, and business development to grow the data centre practice within a global consultancy.

Qualifications

• Associate Director/Director level in cost management or owner’s representation.
• Data centre, mission‑critical, or technically complex construction experience.
• Proven ability to lead client accounts and build long‑term relationships.
• Experience managing teams across multiple project sites.
• Strong commercial, procurement and cost planning expertise.
• Comfort working with senior client stakeholders and internal leadership.
• Business development experience to identify opportunities and drive growth.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the cost management relationship for a major data centre developer account.
• Oversee delivery across multiple data centre projects and sites.
• Mentor and support Cost Managers and Quantity Surveyors on data centre projects.
• Act as primary contact for senior client stakeholders, ensuring strong service delivery.
• Provide strategic cost advice across pre‑construction, procurement, cost planning and change management.
• Collaborate with internal leadership to ensure teams are supported and delivery standards are met.
• Identify opportunities to grow the account and support wider business development.
• Contribute to pitches, client meetings and strategic growth initiatives.
• Champion best practice, innovation and commercial excellence in mission‑critical delivery.
