Job summary

Fermi America seeks a Director of Data Center Construction to lead owner's representation and field execution oversight for a hyperscale program. This role interfaces with the general contractor and tenant onsite leadership to ensure quality, safety, schedule, and cost targets across multiple buildings and phases.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of progressive construction management experience, incl. hyperscale data center programs.
• Experience as owner’s representative on multi-building programs.
• Strong GMP, lump-sum, and EPC contract knowledge.
• Lead teams of 1,000+ craft personnel.
• Deep understanding of data center construction sequencing and IT infra fit-out.

Responsibilities

• Serve as owner’s representative to GC and tenant onsite leadership for all DC construction activities.
• Lead and manage DC project managers across concurrent phases to turnover.
• Drive milestones, progress tracking, and schedule adherence across shell, core, MEP, and enclosure.
• Oversee GMP/EPC contract administration, change orders, and pay applications.
• Coordinate with design and engineering to ensure construction readiness and issue resolution.
• Establish field quality and safety standards with QA/QC and HSE.
• Implement earned value and real-time progress measurement across buildings.
