Job summary

JSR Tech Consulting seeks a hands-on Director of Data Analytics to lead commercial data assets for an emergent biopharmaceutical organization in a rare-disease market. Hybrid work in Pennington, NJ with up to 20% travel, contract/contract-to-hire.

The role owns data governance, analytics ecosystem, and actionable insights for executives, leveraging Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt, Veeva, and Salesforce tools to support a product launch.

Qualifications

• Eight to ten years in pharmaceutical/biotech healthcare analytics or related function.
• Experience with healthcare data products such as Komodo, Quest, IQVIA, Definitive Healthcare or comparable sources.
• Experience managing cloud data and analytics infrastructure, ideally including Snowflake and modern integration tools such as Fivetran or dbt.
• Strong dashboard and data-visualization experience using Power BI, Tableau, or comparable platform.
• Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own commercial data assets and analytics capabilities for the program.
• Lead data acquisition, integration, governance, quality, and optimization of multiple data sources (claims, lab, CRM, provider, etc).
• Establish data standards, governance processes, and quality measures to improve data integrity and accessibility.
• Develop analyses supporting launch readiness, market assessment, and commercial performance.
• Create executive-ready dashboards and reports translating complex findings into actionable recommendations.
• Own and optimize a modern commercial analytics environment with Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt, and visualization tools.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business questions into scalable analytics solutions.
• Manage analytics vendors, project plans, budgets, and timelines.
• Evaluate new data, visualization, and AI capabilities to improve decision-making.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

JSR Tech Consulting is seeking a hands-on Director of Data Analytics to help an emerging biopharmaceutical organization build the commercial data and analytics capabilities needed for an anticipated U.S. product launch in a rare-disease market.

This individual will own key commercial data assets, strengthen data governance, guide the supporting technology ecosystem, and transform complex healthcare data into actionable recommendations for commercial and executive leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the business owner and subject-matter expert for commercial data assets and related analytics capabilities.
• Lead the acquisition, integration, governance, quality, and optimization of claims, laboratory, CRM, patient-pathway, provider, media, omnichannel, and other third-party data.
• Establish data standards, business rules, documentation, governance processes, and quality measures that improve data consistency, accessibility, integrity, and compliance.
• Develop analyses supporting launch readiness, brand planning, market assessment, patient identification, patient journeys, commercial effectiveness, and performance monitoring.
• Create dashboards, reports, KPIs, and executive-ready presentations that translate complex findings into clear business recommendations.
• Own and optimize a modern commercial analytics environment that may include Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt, Veeva CRM, Veeva Network, Veeva OpenData, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and visualization tools.
• Partner with Commercial, Market Access, Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Finance, IT, and executive stakeholders to translate business questions into scalable analytics solutions.
• Manage analytics and technology vendors, project plans, deliverables, service levels, budgets, and timelines.
• Evaluate new data, visualization, automation, and AI capabilities that can improve decision-making and operating efficiency.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• MBA, MS, MPH, or comparable advanced degree preferred.
• Eight to ten years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare analytics, commercial operations, business intelligence, or a related function.
• Demonstrated experience with healthcare claims, laboratory, patient-level, provider-level, and commercial data.
• Experience with healthcare data products such as Komodo, Quest, Veeva Compass, Definitive Healthcare, IQVIA, Symphony, or comparable sources.
• Experience managing cloud data and analytics infrastructure, ideally including Snowflake and modern integration tools such as Fivetran or dbt.
• Strong dashboard and data-visualization experience using Power BI, Tableau, or a comparable platform.
• Working knowledge of pharmaceutical commercialization, patient-journey analytics, market access, and product-launch planning.
• Proven project and vendor management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and move quickly within a lean, high-growth, pre-commercial environment.
