Job summary

MoonPay is seeking a Director of Data & Analytics to own Product Data & Analytics across Product & Engineering, reporting to the CTO. You will build out the team, define how it operates, and make it the reason MoonPay ships better products faster.

This builder role spans Data Science, Analytics Engineering, and Data Analysts, and you will shape career paths, scale the function, and work with executives to drive analytics-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or analytics engineering with significant management experience.
• Proven track record building and scaling a data/analytics function in a high-growth environment.
• Strong partnering experience with Product and Engineering to embed analytics into product development.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to communicate with executives and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the direction, roadmap, and operating model for Product Data & Analytics.
• Recruit, hire, and lead three disciplines: Data Scientists, Analytics Engineers, and Data Analysts.
• Design org structure, leveling, and career paths to scale the function.
• Standardize product metrics, experimentation, and analytics to create reusable data products.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Compliance to embed analytics across the lifecycle.
• Set technical and data quality standards across the team.
• Mentor leaders and report team health and impact to senior leadership.
