Job summary

MoonPay is seeking a Director of Data & Analytics to own Product Data & Analytics across Product & Engineering, reporting to the CTO. You will build the team, define operating models, and make it the engine behind faster, higher-quality product decisions.

You’ll lead Data Scientists, Analytics Engineers, and Data Analysts, setting structure, leveling, and scalable practices, while partnering with leadership to embed analytics in the product lifecycle and measure impact.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data science, analytics, or analytics engineering with leadership experience.
• Track record of building and scaling a data/analytics function in a high-growth environment.
• Strong partnerships with Product and Engineering to embed analytics and experimentation.
• Technical fluency across data modeling and experimentation design.

Responsibilities

• Own the direction, roadmap, and operating model for Product Data & Analytics.
• Recruit, hire, and lead a team spanning Data Scientists, Analytics Engineers, and Data Analysts.
• Design the org structure, leveling, and career paths for scale.
• Standardize product metrics, experimentation, and analytics across MoonPay as reusable data products.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to embed analytics into the product lifecycle.
• Set technical and quality standards across the team's work.
• Represent analytics needs in cross-functional planning with Product, Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Compliance.
• Mentor team leads and senior ICs, building a bench of future managers.
• Report on team health, hiring progress, and analytics impact to senior leadership.
