Job summary

MoonPay in the United States is seeking a data analyst/scientist to shape product decisions through data, experimentation, and stakeholder partnership. You’ll sit within our centralised Product Data team and own analytics across the full product lifecycle from problem definition to launch and measurement.

You will build trusted insights, define metrics (e.g., Transaction Success Rate, Fraud Rate), and create AI-assisted analytics that scale for the org.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as data analyst or data scientist in a product-focused role.
• Advanced SQL and data visualization are expected.
• Experience building data models in cloud warehouses (dbt+BigQuery/Snowflake).
• Strong statistics knowledge including A/B and quasi-experimental methods.
• Working understanding of payments/fintech operations (fraud, KYC/AML).
• Comfort using AI-assisted tools to accelerate analysis and build reusable skills.
• Exceptional communication to distill complex findings for all audiences.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product and business teams to run rigorous analysis and turn it into prioritised recommendations.
• Define and maintain metric definitions and business context for stakeholders.
• Set up tracking for new launches and measure KPI impact.
• Build a reporting layer with automated alerts and root-cause analyses.
• Design, run and interpret experiments (A/B, quasi-experiments).
• Model robust data in dbt/BigQuery with quality checks.
• Create AI-assisted analytics skills to scale impact.
• Communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
