Job summary

Nuveen is seeking a Technology Risk Officer to lead cyber risk governance and oversee 2LoD challenges for AI frontier programs. This role focuses on developing and maintaining risk controls, aligning with enterprise risk and compliance, and guiding cyber resilience initiatives across the organization.

The position requires 5+ years in cybersecurity/risk, with knowledge of AI ethics, regulatory expectations, and strong collaboration across legal, technology, and audit teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, IT Risk Management, IT Audit, and/or IT Compliance.
• 1+ years of experience with AI engineering, development, support or compliance.
• Considerable familiarity with financial services / Insurance cybersecurity-related laws/regulations, control frameworks, and experience evaluating impacts on cybersecurity risks, controls, policies, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of the Cyber Risk Management Framework and updates to security policies, standards, and risk-tiering methodology.
• Monitor changes in the technology landscape and advise on Framework updates; ensure controls are efficient and effective.
• Oversee the Cyber response to AI Frontier models program with risk assessment, control development, and progress reporting.
• Coordinate with Risk and Compliance to align touchpoints.
• Expand Cyber KRIs and KCIs focusing on AI impacts and threats from AI-enabled actors.
• Evolve Technology Risk architecture for secure baseline, testing, resiliency and security.
• Manage escalations and cross-functional collaboration across business, technology, legal, compliance, cybersecurity, and audit.
