Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a leader for the CX Research capability to drive human-centered research across product experiences. You will mentor researchers and collaborate with data/analytics to incorporate insights from telemetry and qualitative studies.

The role requires senior-level expertise in qualitative and quantitative methods, leadership experience, and a track record of applying AI-enabled approaches to research. On-site in Bothell, WA with opportunities for strategic impact.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading and mentoring research teams with a strong human-centered focus.
  • Proven ability to design and execute qualitative and quantitative studies.
  • Experience applying statistics to behavioral data and telemetry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and mentor the CX Research capability; foster curiosity, rigor, and evidence-based advocacy.
  • Hands-on design, execution, and analysis of qualitative research and experiments; apply quantitative analysis to telemetry data.
  • Mine and analyze telemetry/behavioral usage data with qualitative evidence.
  • Operationalize AI-enabled research methods with ethical rigor and automated workflows.
  • Evaluate and pilot AI research tools with defined adoption metrics.
  • Define and own enterprise measurement strategy for AI/solution adoption.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on planning, prioritization, and resourcing.
  • Work with data/analytics to understand colleagues’ needs and improve experience.
  • Monitor trends in behavior, workplace tech, and AI adoption; translate findings into recommendations.

Job description

Role responsibilities
  • Lead, develop, and mentor the CX Research capability; build a culture of curiosity, rigor, and evidence-based advocacy.
  • Hands-on design, execution, and analysis of qualitative research (interviews, usability testing, contextual inquiry, concept testing) and experiments; apply quantitative/statistical analysis to telemetry/behavioral data.
  • Mine and analyze telemetry/behavioral usage data (product usage, clickstream, in-app interactions) with qualitative evidence.
  • Operationalize AI-enabled research methods and continuous feedback loops (automated workflows, persona-based insight extraction, synthetic data where appropriate) with ethical rigor.
  • Evaluate and pilot emerging AI research tools; run quick tests, define adoption/impact metrics.
  • Define and own enterprise measurement strategy for AI/solution adoption.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on planning, prioritization, and resourcing for colleague experience investment.
  • Collaborate with data/analytics to advance understanding of colleagues’ needs/behaviors; improve experience.
  • Monitor trends in human behavior, workplace tech, AI adoption, and expectations; translate insights into recommendations.
Qualifications
Basic
  • Bachelor’s in a research/human-centered field.
  • 8+ years UX/behavioral research; 2+ years leading/managing researchers.
  • Experience designing and executing qualitative and quantitative research.
Preferred
  • Advanced degree; 10+ years research (life science/healthcare/reg. preferred).
  • 5+ years in leadership; deep UX research expertise + statistics (experimental design, power/significance).
  • Experience with AI-driven research tools, continuous discovery/automated workflows, synthetic data/personas.
  • Telemetry/behavioral analytics expertise; hands-on use of Python/R and survey/stat tools (e.g., Qualtrics, SPSS).
