Job summary

Kermit ISD is seeking a Director of Curriculum and Instruction to lead the district’s instructional program, align curricula with district goals, and support student achievement. You will coordinate with principals and teachers, ensuring resources and technology enable effective teaching and learning.

The role requires a master’s in education administration, 3+ years in classroom teaching, and 3+ years in instructional leadership, plus strong skills in data, budgeting, policy, and communication.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education administration.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum and instruction and instructional programs.
• Experience interpreting data to improve student achievement.
• Experience managing budgets and personnel.
• Ability to implement policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development and delivery of curriculum and instructional programs aligned to district goals.
• Participate in district decision-making to set goals and major programs.
• Monitor programs with teacher input, research, and data to improve outcomes.
• Ensure necessary time, resources, and technology are available.
• Collaborate with staff to revise curriculum documents and materials.
• Select instructional tools and materials to meet learning needs.
• Support district goals and campus performance objectives.
• Oversee staff development and supervise teacher appraisal processes.
• Comply with applicable policies and reporting requirements.
