Job summary

Larson Maddox is recruiting the company’s first US-based Corporate Counsel for a Florida-based global conglomerate. The role spans commercial contracts, litigation management, and import/export compliance, with cross-functional collaboration across procurement, operations, and supply chain.

The ideal candidate will draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements, oversee global disputes with external counsel, and ensure compliance with trade laws.

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction or equivalent international qualification.
• 6+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in-house with a manufacturing company.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including supply, distribution, manufacturing, and service contracts.
• Provide legal support for procurement, operations, and supply chain teams.
• Advise on contract risks, mitigation strategies, and compliance with internal policies and applicable laws.
• Manage and oversee litigation, arbitration, and pre-litigation disputes globally.
• Coordinate with external counsel and internal stakeholders to develop litigation strategies.
• Monitor legal trends and risks that may impact the company's operations.
• Advise on global trade compliance, including customs regulations, export controls, and sanctions.
• Support internal audits and investigations related to trade compliance.
• Develop and implement training and policies to ensure adherence to international trade laws.
