Job summary

CVS Health seeks a Lead Director - Network Core Infrastructure Operations to lead the core routing/switching environment across datacenters, campuses, WAN edge, and cloud connectivity. The role requires hands-on expertise with Cisco platforms and the ability to mentor a Level 1–3 network team.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in enterprise network infrastructure operations.
• “Hands-on” leadership with ability to coach a Level 1–3 team.
• Experience with Cisco routing/switching and multi-site networks.
• Experience with DNS/DHCP/IPAM (Infoblox) at enterprise scale.
• Familiarity with SD-WAN, multi-cloud networking, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Own the operational health, performance, and security of the core routing and switching environment across datacenter, campus, WAN edge, and cloud connectivity.
• Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of WAN and LAN networks for high availability, performance, and security.
• Manage routing and switching operations — BGP, OSPF/EIGRP, VLANs, VXLAN/EVPN, VRFs, QoS, and ACLs.
• Operate DNS, DHCP, and IPAM services using Infoblox for enterprise name resolution and address management.
• Implement and oversee SD-WAN capabilities to enhance network agility, efficiency, and scalability.
• Monitor network devices, create automated reporting, and maintain a single pane of glass view.
• Lead problem management and root-cause analysis for high-impact issues.
• Develop and enforce change control processes and coordinate cross-functional implementations.
• Lead a Level 1–3 network operations team and mentor staff.
• Develop KPIs and strategic capacity planning for the core network.
• Drive automation and AI-assisted operations for routine tasks.
