Job summary

NR Consulting is seeking an Associate Director of Network Engineering to lead an enterprise network design and operations team in a remote-first role with occasional on-site in New Haven, CT.

You will oversee LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and hybrid cloud networking across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud, driving security, reliability, and performance while mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of network engineering experience, including 3–5 years in leadership.
• Routing/switching expertise: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, QoS, VLANs, STP.
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, Zero Trust security.
• Network automation, scripting, and monitoring with SolarWinds/LogicMonitor.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the network engineering team.
