Job summary

Major League Soccer seeks a Director of Content Planning to lead the department’s operational, strategic, and planning efforts. This role unifies editorial, social, creators, production, partnerships, communications, product, and commercial teams around a single content roadmap that aligns with enterprise priorities and fan growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8+ years of experience in a senior content/production leadership role.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across sports production.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and operations for MLS Content, Social & Creators teams.
• Translate priorities into actionable content, distribution, audience growth and monetization plans.
• Oversee budget planning, procurement, and cross-functional workflows.
• Develop and maintain league-wide content roadmap and calendar.
• Align stakeholders around narratives, tentpole events, and content launches.
• Monitor portfolio performance and provide data-driven recommendations.
