Job summary

Major League Soccer is seeking a Senior Director, Talent Acquisition to act as a strategic partner, leading full-cycle recruiting across diverse MLS functions while elevating talent acquisition strategy, processes, and candidate experience.

The role requires hands-on execution, advisory capabilities with leaders, and the ability to drive recruiting operations and technology initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and 10+ years of progressive corporate recruiting experience including sourcing and full-cycle recruiting.
• Experience recruiting across a broad range of functions and levels, including senior leadership searches.
• Experience helping build, modernize, or scale talent acquisition processes and infrastructure.
• Experience developing recruiting strategies including employer branding, candidate management, and interview process management.
• Strong partnerships with talent providers, professional associations, and diverse candidate networks.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts across a broad portfolio of League Office functions and levels.
• Build and maintain a diverse candidate network through proactive recruitment and ongoing relationship management.
• Partner with hiring teams to design sourcing, assessment, and onboarding approaches while managing budget expectations.
• Advise internal leaders on compensation strategy, interview approach, role responsibilities, and candidate evaluation.
• Support recruiting operations enhancements and future tech initiatives including ATS optimization.
• Utilize recruiting metrics and market insights to inform strategy and adjust as needed.
• Create an exceptional candidate experience that reflects MLS culture and values.
• Promote an inclusive and equitable recruiting process and culture.
• Manage partnerships to develop a robust talent pipeline and lead special recruiting projects.
