Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to lead a Content and Experimentation platform within the Digital Technology group. You will guide platform roadmaps, governance, and measurable outcomes across product and technology teams to accelerate experimentation, personalization, and scalable content delivery.

The role emphasizes responsible AI usage, cloud-native delivery on AWS, and secure, reusable platform capabilities to drive broad business impact and innovation.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 10+ years of applied experience and 5+ years in leadership of technologists.
• Experience leading cross-functional technologist teams and talent development.
• Experience adopting agentic AI-enabled engineering practices with secure data handling.

Responsibilities

• Leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives.
• Accountable for decisions influencing resources, budget, and operational processes.
• Sets direction for AI-enabled engineering and SDLC automation to improve speed, quality, and outcomes.
• Applies SDLC tools and enterprise AI capabilities to scale automation and capacity unlocking.
• Governance over coding decisions, cost of ownership, and portfolio operations.
• Delivers scalable solutions across multiple businesses and domains.
• Influences peer leaders and stakeholders across product and technology teams.
• Owns engineering strategy and execution for content delivery and experimentation platform.
• Partners with Product/Design/Data/Marketing to define roadmaps, SLAs/SLOs, and measurable outcomes.
• Establishes experimentation governance including feature flags and A/B testing patterns.
• Drives cloud-native delivery on AWS with focus on secure-by-design platform capabilities.
