Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Director for its A&M Consumer & Retail Group in Los Angeles. You will lead complex client engagements across transformation, performance improvement, and M&A, owning value creation from start to finish.

You will build and lead high-performing teams, manage scope and timelines, and nurture C-level relationships to drive strategic decisions with measurable impact on EBITDA and shareholder value.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree from a top university (MBA preferred).
• Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in consumer/retail or consulting.
• Proven ability to lead complex work streams and deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex client engagements across transformation, performance improvement, and M&A.
• Build and lead high-performing teams on engagements, managing scope, resourcing, and timeline.
• Own C-level and board relationships and guide strategic decisions with credibility.
• Identify opportunities for EBITDA expansion in partnership with CRG leadership and clients.
• Synthesize financial, operational, and strategic data into enterprise-level recommendations with P&L impact.
• Drive change management and stakeholder alignment across complex organizations.
• Build durable client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Mentor junior staff and participate in recruiting.
