Job summary

Shaw University in Raleigh, NC seeks a Director of the Congregational Leadership Certificate Program to lead online/hybrid leadership academies and grow certificate-driven revenue for scholarships. Reporting to the Dean, you will build partnerships with Black church networks and supervise a program manager and success coordinator.

You will design an 8-course curriculum, oversee operations across sites, recruit congregations, and produce reports for strategic planning and fundraising.

Qualifications

• DMIN/PhD/ABD in religion/theology or related fields.
• 3–5 years of leadership experience in higher education.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations of the Thriving Congregations Scaling Grant Initiative.
• Build partnerships with church social networks for congregational vitality.
• Organize the 8-course Black Church Leadership Certificate Program curriculum.
• Develop relationships with congregations statewide and nationally to support recruitment and fundraising.
• Oversee certificate program operations with site coordinators, instructors, and students.
• Facilitate training of site coordinators and instructors.
• Engage faculty and staff to build community with pastors and denominational leaders.
• Generate stories and reports for annual reports and marketing.
