Job summary

RaceTrac is seeking a Director, Compensation to lead our compensation function across a multi-business environment. You will translate our philosophy into scalable programs, ensuring pay-for-performance and talent decisions that support growth.

Based in Atlanta with relocation support considered, you will partner with HR, Finance and business leaders to govern base pay, incentives, and executive compensation, drive benchmarking and governance, and build a high-impact team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years in compensation or total rewards, including enterprise strategy and program design.
• 5+ years of leadership spanning strategy, operations, and stakeholder partnership.
• Deep expertise in compensation program design, benchmarking, governance, incentives, and executive compensation.
• Experience leading compensation programs in multi-business, retail, or high-volume environments.
• Strong background in compensation systems, analytics, process optimization, and cross-functional change management.
• Master’s degree or CCP/GRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the enterprise compensation philosophy and translate it into practical programs to support growth, talent attraction, retention, and financial discipline.
• Architect and govern base pay, short- and long-term incentives, recognition, and executive compensation across RaceTrac and related entities.
• Design scalable compensation frameworks aligning individual, team, and enterprise performance with rewards.
• Lead enterprise compensation cycles and establish standards, guardrails, and decision criteria for rigor and defensibility.
• Oversee job pricing, range management, and pay decision support; improve workflows and documentation.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field

Master’s degree or CCP/GRP preferred
