Job summary

Health & Human Services Comm is seeking a Director of Community Relations and Volunteer Services at the Corpus Christi facility to lead community engagement, volunteering strategies, and outreach efforts.

The position coordinates fundraising, media relations, and volunteer programs, with a focus on supporting residents and the center’s mission. A background in public relations or communications is preferred, and candidates should be able to work with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a four-year college or university is required or preferred.
• Experience in volunteer coordination, fundraising, and public information is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Attends work regularly and may work a fixed or changing shift schedule.
• Interprets and promotes the facility program to communities via speaking engagements, media and events.
• Plans and manages the community relations area, including budgeting and reporting.
• Organizes recruitment and recognition programs for volunteers and matches needs with volunteer skills.
• Provides media support for announcements, press releases, and fundraising activities.
• Oversees donations documentation and prevents conflicts of interest.
