Job summary

Corpus Christi Medical Center seeks a Director of Facilities Management to lead the Engineering Department, ensuring repair, maintenance and safe operation across seven facilities in Corpus Christi.

The role requires a bachelor’s or associate degree and 3–5 years of hospital facilities experience, with strong PC/office software skills; you will drive environment of care, quality improvement and customer-first initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree preferred.
  • Three to five years’ experience in hospital environment and experience on personal computers using spreadsheets and word processing, or a combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and control the Engineering Department to provide repair and maintenance for safe, efficient operation of Corpus Christi Medical Center’s seven facilities.
  • Maintain a comfortable physical environment for patients, staff, medical personnel and the public in line with policies and standards.
  • Lead environment of care/infection control, quality improvement and departmental responsibilities.
  • Support customer-first initiatives.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Director of Facilities plans organizes, directs and controls the activities of the Engineering Department to provide services repair and maintenance necessary to insure the safe and efficient operation of the 7 different facilities that compose Corpus Christi Medical Center. Maintain a comfortable physical environment for patient, employees, medical staff and their public, in accordance with policies, procedures, standards and practices set by Corpus Christi Medical Center, the Texas Department of Health, JCAHO and other local community and governmental agencies. Supports customer first initiatives.

The Director of Facilities will be familiar with the mission, vision, and value statements of the facility.

The Director of Facilities effectively performs the leadership, managerial, environment of care/infection control, quality improvement and departmental responsibilities.

Corpus Christi Medical Center is a 630+ bed healthcare system of hospitals in Corpus Christi and the surrounding Coastal Bend community. Bay Area is our full-service acute care hospital and offers state-of-the-art cardiovascular services, bariatric, GYN and robotic surgery. Northshore Emergency Center is a full-service 24-7 emergency department in Portland that offers outpatient laboratory, imaging and occupational services. Radiation Oncology offers advanced technology for treating cancer with the latest and most specific radiation therapies available. Our programs focus on the needs of individual patients, while employing the latest techniques and research of 21st-century medicine.
