Job summary

Oceans Behavioral Hospital Greater New Orleans seeks a Market Development Director to expand referrals for inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services. You will lead the Market Development team, partnering with the Hospital Administrator and HRD to recruit, onboard, train, and manage performance.

You will maintain referral inventories, perform field visits, and collaborate with Support Center marketing to implement market strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or communications or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years in healthcare business development with leadership roles.
• Formal sales training (preferred).
• Knowledge of hospital operations and psychiatric programs (preferred).
• Understanding of revenue and expense management.

Responsibilities

• Develop marketing plans to generate referrals for inpatient and outpatient programs.
• Manage Market Development staff and collaborate with Hospital Administrator and HRD on recruitment and performance.
• Maintain an up-to-date referral inventory for each market to identify growth opportunities.
• Oversee field visits, facility referrals, and reporting to ensure plans are executed.
• Build community presence and coordinate with Support Center marketing on strategies.
• Provide feedback to leadership on program development and customer satisfaction initiatives.
• Set goals for staff and monitor performance against targets.
