T5 Data Centers is seeking a Director of Government Affairs and Community Liaison in Atlanta. The role bridges data center developments with local communities, officials, and stakeholders, ensuring transparent, proactive engagement and messaging.

Regular in-person presence across regional markets is required. The position demands strategic communication, policy insight, and a track record in public affairs, with strong writing and relationship-building abilities to support development,

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in community relations, public affairs, local government, infrastructure, utilities, and/or strategic communications.
• Experience with infrastructure or energy topics, especially data centers or large-scale development, is preferred.
• Understanding of legislative processes and developing strategies in response to proposed legislation.
• Strong public speaking abilities with experience presenting at public meetings and regulatory hearings.
• Proven relationship-building skills with community leaders and officials.
• Excellent writing and documentation skills for reports and public-facing materials.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with local residents, civic organizations, and officials.
• Serve as a primary contact for elected officials, media, lobbying groups, and industry stakeholders.
• Represent the company at public policy hearings, council meetings, and community forums.
• Translate technical data center information into clear, accessible messaging.
• Monitor sentiment and identify issues requiring internal escalation.
• Prepare reports on sentiment, risks, opportunities, and engagement outcomes for leadership.
• Plan and execute community events, site tours, and partnerships with schools.
